What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world. Millions of people have come together to support and champion the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live. We have two days for getting deals – Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On #GivingTuesday, we have a day for giving back. Together, people are creating a new ritual for our annual calendar. Every act of generosity counts, and each means even more when we give together. #GivingTuesday includes people of all ethnicities, religions and backgrounds. Together, millions of people demonstrate our common capacity to give.

Why support servant leadership?

Many leaders embrace the idea of servant leadership and know that being a servant-leader is hard. It requires humility, expects that we prioritize others’ self interests above our own and demands that we rigorously practice the leadership behaviors that allow those we serve to grow. If all leaders prioritize others over self, their organizations do better and serve the public well. With so much at stake in our world today, we must ensure servant-leaders are in the predominant positions through out society. Help us do that!

Your contribution to the Greenleaf Center will:

  • help to create compelling content that help individuals and organizations adopt servant leadership practices.
  • provide resources to interact and inspire students and young professionals to confidently embrace servant leadership as their own personal philosophies and lead that way.
  • help mission focused non-profit leaders implement servant leadership development programs.
  • advocate and influence institutions to serve the public good by inspiring boards to acts as Trustees as Servant.
  • seed grass root movements that nurture servant leadership on the local level.

The Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. All or part of your gift may be tax deductible as a charitable contribution.
