Youth Servant-Leader Exemplar

Sumaiya Rehman

Seton Hall University

Sumaiya Rehman, born and raised in New Jersey, is a Pakistani, Muslim-American fourth-year student at Seton Hall University, driven by a passion for leadership, teamwork, and entrepreneurship.

Over the past few years, she has held a variety of leadership roles across campus—serving as Secretary and later President of the Muslim Student Association for two years, Treasurer of the Minority Pre-Law Society, and a Senator in the Student Government Association. These experiences, rooted in advocacy and community building within individual student groups, have shaped her into a campus-wide leader.

Now, as Secretary of the Student Government Association for the current academic year, Sumaiya is expanding her impact beyond individual clubs—using her platform to support, connect, and elevate the entire student body, all while actively pursuing a future in law.
