With this theme, the Center convened a virtual gathering of national thought leaders to examine policy alternatives that hold promise for addressing the needs of economically disadvantaged and marginalized communities. Cecilia Muñoz, former Director of the White House Office of Domestic Policy for President Obama, delivered the keynote address. Panelists included Deborah Smith-Gregory, President of the Newark NAACP, and Chris Emigholz, Vice President of the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA). The lecture was moderated by Caryl Lucas, Founder of the Unstoppable Girls Foundation.
